Whiteness is fragile.
Maleness is fragile.

Each of them can create grave issues when they are seen as the default viewpoints for the norms and mores of a society.

These normalizations become a trap for those who are raised in the limited, fearful, and reactionary world of maintaining the power and privilege granted to them by the chance conditions of their birth.

We do ourselves a disservice when we neglect to address the history and implications of whiteness and maleness in America, and all of the suffering that these qualifiers can cause for those who are seen as "other"

We must see the facades that can be shattered, discarded, and untangled in order to find a world that can welcome us all.
